Q. What is the playing format?
A: U9-U10 teams will play 6v6, U11-U12 teams will play 8v8 and U13-U19 teams will play 11v11.
Q: Will there be an 11v11 division for u12 teams?
A: No. Under MSYSA rules, u12 teams must play 8v8. However, u12 teams playing 11v11 can register as a u13 team in order to play 11v11. If enough U12 teams register in this manner, a separate u13 division may be formed to accommodate these teams.
Q: When and where is the tournament check-in?
A: All teams will be able to check-in prior to their first game on Saturday 8/16. Detailed check-in information will be emailed to team representatives the week of the tournament.

Q: What is the Challenge Cup format?
A: The Challenge Cup format is designed to promote club unity and participation. To be eligible to compete, at least four teams from one club must participate in the tournament (note: individual teams or clubs with less than four teams may still be accepted into the tournament). Challenge Cup points are earned by each team's success. The club with the most points earned will receive the Michigan Challenge Cup/
Q: Do I have to use Traveling Teams to book hotel rooms for my team?
A: Yes, Traveling Teams is the official hotel provider of the MICHIGAN CHALLENGE CUP. Teams that book reservations without using Traveling Teams may be ineligible to participate in the tournament, and their registration fee will not be refunded.
Q: Are international teams allowed to participate?
A: Yes, we regularly attract teams from Canada, and they are welcome to register.
